This ceremony is a public commitment made by parents, signaling their intent to raise their child in the ways of Jesus and guide them in the process of becoming a channel for God’s activity and promise. It also provides an opportunity for our congregation to confirm our promise to come alongside families and offer our support and love as they lead their children on the journey of faith.

Redemption Church is excited to host author and pastor Meredith Miller for a special parent event on Wednesday, April 22, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. When it comes to talking with kids about the Bible, many parents feel the pressure to have all the answers or to follow a rigid checklist of "do's and don'ts." Meredith offers a different way—one that focuses on curiosity, trust, and the character of God.
The event will be held at Resurrection Leawood. Named after the "great assembly" in Nehemiah 5, this gathering moves beyond individual acts of service to address the root causes of systemic injustice in Johnson County. We will meet with local decision-makers to secure specific, researched commitments regarding mental health, housing, and homelessness.
Graduation is an important milestone in the common life of Redemption Church. If you are a high school graduate, a graduate of an advanced degree, a special certification, or any kind of program, we want to celebrate you on this special Sunday.
