Giving

Generosity is a practice we share.

Giving is how we practice trusting God’s provision together, instead of living out of the fear that there will never be enough.

Why we give

Giving changes the people who do it.

We believe practices like tithing form us. Giving regularly, over years, is how a congregation learns to live differently than the culture around it.

It is also an act of covenant faithfulness, and a refusal to believe the story that there will never be enough. Giving is how we trust God’s abundance and commit ourselves to justice for our neighbors.

Over time, generosity cultivates trust in God and loosens the grip money and possessions can have on us, until what we do with our money and what we say we believe line up.

Non-traditional gifts

Stocks, crypto, and donor-advised funds.

Through Every.org, you can give to Redemption in ways that reach beyond a card or a check. It isn’t for everyone, but for people whose resources are held in assets rather than cash, it is the practical way to do it.

You can give digital currency, company shares, or a gift from your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF).

Have questions?

We’d be glad to help.

Setting up a recurring gift, or giving a new way, might raise a few questions. Our staff and volunteers can walk you through a recurring gift, a one-time contribution, or the non-traditional options through Every.org.

And beyond the how-to, we’re glad to talk about Redemption’s budget, or about the theology of generosity and how we understand money.
