Spring Workday – Saturday, March 28
Join us for our Spring Workday on March 28 as we come together to maintain and beautify our building and grounds. There will be a variety of tasks for all skill levels, from gardening and landscaping to minor repairs and cleaning. This is a great opportunity to serve alongside others and make our church home even more welcoming for everyone.
Time: 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Spring Work Day 2026 Overview
Priority Projects
High Priority (Critical and Safety)
East Side Grading Project: Add soil to the newly flattened area on the east side of the building. Grade the area to stop water from pooling in the yard and ensure it flows around the east side of the building toward the water intake near the community garden.
West Side Drainage Project: Dig a 2 ft deep trench along the west sidewalk to locate suspected underground pipes. Lay perforated pipe to receive ground water and tie into the existing northwest pipe that runs under the sidewalk. Backfill the trench with gravel to facilitate drainage and stop water from pooling in the parking lot.
Stage Stained Glass Installation: Install the new stage stained glass panels and ensure they are securely fastened to prevent falling.
Old Stage Panel Storage: Wrap and store the old stage panels using bubble wrap and tape.
LED Lighting Upgrade: Replace fluorescent bulbs with new LED lights throughout the building. Electrical skills needed!
Wall and Drywall Repair: Patch and finish designated interior areas.
Exterior Lighting Check: Verify all outdoor fixtures are functional. This includes changing the light bulbs in the A-frame.
Medium Priority (Maintenance)
East Side Flower Beds: Remove all plants in the flower beds on the east side of the building.
Flower Bed Maintenance: Trim back plants and de-weed all beds around the building.
Mulch: Spread new mulch in all maintained beds.
Boundary Bricks: Reset flower bed boundary bricks to ensure clean edges.
Flower Boxes and Pots: Heidi Schmidt is leading the planting of new flowers in the boxes and round pots in front of the wood doors. Heidi will use her allocated budget for these purchases.
Hose and Garden Preparation: Prep all exterior hoses for use and clean out the garden area.
Sealing and Caulking: Seal concrete steps and sidewalks.
HVAC Maintenance: Replace all air filters.
Camera Stand: Complete assembly or installation.
Painting: Paint the paneling above the glass door entrance.
