As temperatures drop, many of our neighbors are in urgent need of a warm, safe place to stay while government buildings are closed. On January 19th, Martin Luther King's holiday, we are opening our building to host a warming center and we need your help!
Justice & Compassion: In this class, Middle Schoolers and their parents will lean into our shared responsibility to stand in solidarity with the outcast. We will explore the difference between justice and compassion, helping kids and their parents discover how their unique wiring can be used to bring God's redemptive love to a broken world.
Redemption Church in Olathe will host a screening and discussion of the documentary Join or Die on Saturday, January 24, at 1:00 PM. This film explores the critical importance of community involvement and the decline of civic organizations in the United States. Following the research of social scientist Robert Putnam, the documentary examines how joining clubs and local groups influences the health of American democracy and individual well-being.
Dinners for 8 combine two of our favorite things at Redemption Church, hanging out together and eating! This is a good opportunity to meet some new people at RC.

The youth ministry of Redemption Church will be traveling to the great city of Memphis, TN, for an immersive journey into the heart of the Civil Rights Movement. We think it is essential for our students to not only see the history of the Civil Rights Movement, but also to discuss and wrestle with how the Church (and in particular black liberation theology) gave the movement its imaginative framework.
Join us for our Spring Workday on March 28 as we come together to maintain and beautify our building and grounds. There will be a variety of tasks for all skill levels, from gardening and landscaping to minor repairs and cleaning. This is a great opportunity to serve alongside others and make our church home even more welcoming for everyone.
