school supply drive
Ridgeview Elementary has asked for our help in providing students with backpacks and black felt-tip pens for the upcoming school year. If you are able to help, bring your donation to church on July 26th or August 2nd. Many of the students at Ridgeview have attended Soccer Camp, and many of their families have participated in programs through our church. Our relationship with this community is important, and this is a wonderful way to support and encourage them as they prepare for a new school year. strengthening families table hosts needed
Each year Redemption Church partners with Johnson County Mental Health to support the Strengthening Families Program, a program designed to help families build stronger relationships. One of the most important parts of the evening is sharing a meal together, and we are looking for Redemption families and members of to serve as Table Hosts. You will join families for dinner, help create a welcoming and supportive environment, build trust, and provide a relational space for families. This is a simple but impactful way to serve our community and support families as they work toward healthier relationships. The program meets every Thursday evening from August 27th through November 12th. Table Hosts arrive at 6:00 p.m. and stay until dinner is finished. food pantry volunteers needed
Sign up to volunteer with the Food Pantry on Saturday, August 1. We have two volunteer roles available: Check-In Volunteer & Distribution Volunteer.
Check-In Volunteers go car to car, signing people in, while Distribution Volunteers help organize the pallets and load food into cars. This is a great opportunity to serve alongside others while getting to know people and families from our congregation as well as Redemption Espanol. Our goal is to serve while building lasting relationships among volunteers and congregations. If you are Interested, you can sign up below. We have designed the sign up with an ideal number of volunteers to ensure that everyone is included and has a meaningful role. If all volunteer spots are filled and you would still like to participate, please join the waitlist or come anyway. Check-In Volunteers are asked to arrive at 11:45 a.m., and Distribution Volunteers can arrive at 12:00 p.m. You can sign up here.
