ordinary time roundtable
Join us for our Ordinary Time Roundtable on Sunday, July 19th. If you are examining your beliefs, traditions or practices, our Ordinary Time Roundtables are a time to bring your questions and open mind to connect with others who are challenging and deconstructing long held paradigms. Childcare will be provided. No registration is necessary.
redemption book club
You’re invited to our next book club gathering as we dive into Happiness Falls, Angie Kim’s compelling and emotionally rich novel about family, communication, and the unexpected ways love holds us together. It’s a story that sparks conversation—perfect for reading in community. We’ll meet Saturday, July 18, from 9:30–11:30 AM in the A‑Frame. Whether you’ve been part of book club before or this is your first time, you’ll find a welcoming space for thoughtful discussion! Register here so we can have enough snacks! Please register here. Email Kadi Davis with questions at kadialicia21@gmail.com.
strengthening families table hosts needed
Each year, Redemption Church partners with Johnson County Mental Health to support the Strengthening Families Program, a program designed to help families build stronger relationships. One of the most important parts of the evening is sharing a meal together, and we are looking for families and members of Redemption Church to serve as Table Hosts during the program! As a Table Host, you will join families for dinner, help create a welcoming and supportive environment, build trust, and provide a relational space for families. This is a simple but impactful way to serve our community and support families as they work toward healthier relationships. It is also a wonderful opportunity to volunteer with your family! The program meets every Thursday evening from August 27th through November 12th. Table Hosts arrive at 6:00 p.m. and stay until dinner is finished. school supply drive
Ridgeview Elementary has asked for our help in providing students with backpacks and black felt-tip pens for the upcoming school year. If you are able to purchase a backpack and a pack of felt-tip pens for a student, you can bring your donation to church on July 26th or August 2nd. All donations will be delivered to the school during the week of August 3. Many of the students at Ridgeview have attended Soccer Camp, and many of their families have participated in programs through our church. Our relationship with this community is important, and this is a wonderful way to support and encourage them as they prepare for a new school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Amelia at Amelia@redemptionchurchkc.com.
