advent 2016

We are delivering cookies to our church neighbors this week!  If you are planning to bring cookies for this Advent gift, please have them to the church by 9:30am today!

christmas eve family service

Our Christmas Eve Family Service is Saturday, December 24th at 5:30pm.  Our offering that night will go toward our year-end gift, which will fund our Compassion Ministry and share with Via de Esperanza.  If you write a check, please note in the memo line “Year-end gift”.  There will be NO Sunday service on Christmas day.

strengthening families program to begin

The next session of Strengthening Families begins January 19th on Thursday evenings.  If you are interested in helping in any way, (childcare, meal preparation,  or being a table host) please contact Mandy Hillat mandy@redemptionchruchkc.com. 
The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is a prevention program for parents and children ages 5-16 in higher risk families. SFP consists of parenting skills, life skills, and family skills training courses taught together in fourteen 2-hour group sessions. The class is preceded by a meal which gives families a chance to eat and connect with each other and a "table host" or family from our church.
