Our staff and elders, using guidance from the CDC, State of Kansas, and Johnson County, have been working diligently to develop a plan for safely and responsibly reopening our building. Our tentative plan is to work toward both in-person and online worship services, and to maintain both options for the foreseeable future. We will have to keep the numbers small at first as we learn how to guard against the spread of COVID-19 while gathering. We will also be experimenting with ways to create space for worship both inside and outside the building. In addition to these efforts, our live stream services will continue for anyone who is not quite ready or able to return to the building. We will be in touch with more details in the near future.
We will keep the numbers small at first as we learn how to guard against the spread of COVID-19 while gathering. To do this, we are asking anyone wanting to worship in the sanctuary to register for a seat.
Outside areas will also be available for people to worship, no registration necessary.
In addition to these efforts, our live stream services will continue for anyone who is not quite ready or able to return to the building.
We’re going to try this, but if cases spike…we’ll continue to monitor this plan week to week and make adjustments.
