Early Childhood Ministry

Long before a child can tell you what they believe, they are learning whether this is a place where they are safe and wanted. We hope to embody the joy and peace of Christ to our smallest members.

Milestones

The milestones of these years.

These milestones are a reminder to the family that a new baby is not only a responsibility but a community within a community. We hope each one embeds a child in a deep sense that they are safe, and that we are with them.

The rhythm

Sunday morning for our smallest members.

Each class has its own room and its own team of volunteers. Predictability is the point ... the same faces, the same space, the same routine, week after week.

Every Sunday

Nursery through preschool

We have classes for Nursery, Young Toddlers, Older Toddlers, and Preschool. Each classroom is open the moment you walk into church, except for the Godly Play class ... preschoolers are invited to sit in the service until the blessing of the children.

Every Sunday

Check-in

Children are checked in on arrival with a name tag and security code. Please update your family information so that what we have on file is accurate.

Preschool

Godly Play

Our preschool teaching uses Godly Play ... the stories of scripture told slowly, with objects a child can hold, followed by wondering aloud together instead of arriving at a right answer. Godly Play children check in on arrival, go to their room after the blessing of the children, and come back into the sanctuary after the sermon for communion.

Join us

Come and see, come and serve.

The best way to know whether this is a good place for your family is to join us. And if you have already been around a while, you are invited to participate in the spiritual formation of the youngest members in our community.
