Privacy policy
No accounts, no tracking, and your settings stay on your phone.
The short version
Common Prayer does not ask who you are. There is no account to make, no sign-in, no analytics, and no advertising. We do not collect, sell, or share personal information, because the app never sends us any.
What stays on your phone
The app remembers a few settings so it opens the way you left it: which reminders are on and how early they come, light or dark appearance, and the preview clock. These are saved on your phone only. They never leave it, and deleting the app deletes them.
Prayer reminders are scheduled by your phone itself. The app asks for permission to send notifications, and you can turn that off at any time in your phone’s settings. No reminder passes through a server of ours.
Listening to the recordings
The daily recordings are streamed from Redemption Church’s file storage, which is hosted by Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare receives your phone’s internet address and basic request details in order to deliver the audio. We do not use that information to identify you, and we do not combine it with anything else.
Links out of the app
A few links open other websites, such as redemptionchurchkc.com and netbible.org. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and what you do there is covered by them, not by this one.
Permissions
The app asks for notifications only. It does not use your microphone, camera, contacts, location, or photos. On Android it also uses the standard permission that lets audio keep playing with the screen locked.
Apple and Google
The App Store and Google Play may collect information about downloads, and crash reports if you have chosen to share them with app developers. That is governed by Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies and your phone’s settings.
Children
Common Prayer is meant for anyone who wants to pray along, families included. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Changes and questions
If the app ever changes what it collects, this page will change first, and the date below will move.
