Chaim also serves as a valuable teacher and speaks on Sunday morning a handful of times each year. When asked about his duties as a worship leader Chaim said, "I feel like my job is to create space so that we can encounter God both personally and as a corporate body. We want to be the catalyst for worship, not the focus of worship. My task is to stay out of the way and try to usher our people to a place where they can pour out their hearts to God, and let God shape us and form us through worship." Chaim grew up in Kansas City and works full time as a carpenter, and part-time as our worship leader. He lives in Waldo with his wife, Jess, and his two kids – Brody and Kinsley. ELDERS

Redemption church is led through the partnership of pastoral staff, church staff and the elders. These three groups work together to discern God’s leading for our church and then to plan and execute toward that leading. The elders have final say over staffing, financial, and spiritual leadership issues. We attempt to do everything by consensus and generally abide by the admonition from scripture: “be subject to one another.” We do everything out in the open and anyone can see our budget/financial records at any time. Our current elders are Jodi Bertram, Bill Hill, Tyler Pittenger, Beth Price, Scott Robinette, Jim Schmidt, Tim Suttle and Larry Woulfe.
