Our next food pantry with Harvesters is this Saturday, December 2nd from 1pm-2pm. If you would like to volunteer to help process and distribute food for our neighbors in need, please be at the church at 12:15pm.

Families of PreK - 6th graders, please pick up an Advent Packet at the entrance table this Sunday. We've created some simple resources for you to share together during Advent. One per family.
art of advent retreat
The Art of Advent Retreat is this Sunday, December 3rd from 4:00-5:30pm for the Art of Advent Retreat. Join us for a time of poetry, scripture, art and prayer. As we lean into the decrescendo of December, we pause to reflect and connect to the hope of Jesus’ Advent. Please register here. Childcare will be available.
ladies christmas brunch
Ladies of Redemption Church - Let's celebrate the season with food, coffee and each other’s company! Come for a Christmas Brunch on Saturday December 9th, from 10:00am-12:00pm. Please bring a brunch item to share!
cookie collection for the neighborhood
As is our tradition at Redemption, we will be sharing homemade cookies with our neighbors. We are asking that everyone bring 2 dozen homemade cookies on Sunday, December 10th. Staff will package them and our high school interns will deliver the cookies that week.
advent roundtable
Our Advent Roundtable is Sunday, December 17th from 4-6pm. If you are examining your beliefs, traditions or practices, this Advent Roundtable is a time to bring your questions and open mind to connect with others who are challenging and deconstructing long held paradigms. Childcare will be provided. No registration is necessary.
christmas eve family service
Our Christmas Eve Family Service is Sunday, December 24th at 5:30pm. There will no Sunday morning service this day. No childcare available.
year end gift for compassion ministry
We will be collecting our Year End Gift during our Christmas Eve Service. This collection goes to fund our Compassion Ministry for 2024. If you would like to give online, please click here. Choose the “End of Year Justice and Compassion” fund from the drop-down menu. All giving must be completed by December 31st, in order to be included on your 2023 Giving Statement.
project 10/20 begins december 1st
The cold weather shelter Project 10/20 opens December 1st and continues nightly through the end of March. This overnight shelter houses and feeds homeless men and women during the coldest months. If you would like to provide and meal or volunteer to work, please link here to the Project 10/20 website to register.
kck cold weather shelter is hiring
Rob Santel and Kent Friedeman are hiring paid staff to support the KCK Cold Weather Shelter. This project opens on nights when the temps fall below 25 degrees. Staff sign up for shifts during a given period of time. If the day signed up for becomes a shelter night (25 degrees and below), then that staff will be working. Decisions regarding open or closed status will be made by 8am each day.
Shifts are:
5p-8p/5:45p-9:15p ($25/hour)
9p-7a ($30/hour)
6a-9a ($25/hour)
