Children can see the signs around them that announce that Christmas is approaching: decorations in stores, community parades, increased advertising on television, special school assemblies, and seasonal craft sales and other events. Their time with their church community helps remind them that we are preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Advent is a time of watching and waiting.
